hmmph.. having runs since last night.. and it's only 3pm in the afternoon and i have visited the toilet for the 6th time.. this is bad bad bad .. cuz i m trying to save the toilet rolls in my room cuz u see.. i m left with one month in Suzhou and i dont want to spend my money on paying for one whole big pack of toilet rolls.. and PLUS the toilet rolls cost ALOT in Suzhou.. dont ask my why cuz i have been pondering on this same question for the past 5 months.. it's only paper what... and it costs sooo much..
hahahahas.. have tried the cheap recycled paper ones.. which are much cheaper but MUCH MUCH MUCH rougher.. so it's totally not good at all.. cuz it will cause abrasion.-_-''' *PUI*

Argh suppose to be back on 26 or 27 June.
But now it looks like it's abit tough.. i cant get my SQ return ticket.. and there are no other airlines besides China Eastern cuz Emirates and Lufthansa DUNCH fly to Spore from Shanghai... *Bawls*
M contemplating to go back with the rest on 9 July.. bt that means that there is a high possibility that i cant meet vel until the start of sem and i cannot send Sil and Jane off to Aussie Land..
haha.. wells wells.. so people tell me when u will be leaving cann?? then i can decide on my date to fly back =)

It’s so frustrating. I lost my temper again.
For someone to make me really angry (besides my brothers), he or she must be really irritating.
Was chided by her for not going for the morning lesson and that she has to bear the brunt of the teacher’s nagging.
I know I am at fault for not attending the lesson....But she could have place it nicely....
SHE: “你今天没上课啊?”
What a rhetorical question. -_-''' There are only 23 Singaporeans in a class if all of us are present but today there were only 6 students in the class. Plus, it’s not a lecture hall.. it’s a classroom!! . So it’s pretty easily to spot everyone... U know??! She doesn’t have to go one big round to tell me off. I am not stupid cann… Grrr. Couldn’t take her attitude anymore considering I have been tolerating her for the past 5months. So, Moi just said
ME: “ 你上课有看到我吗?”
Haha.. I know it’s rude. But I couldn’t hold my tongue.bleh.
Then she started nagging.. BLAH BLAH BLAH.
Moi tried to end her one sided conversation by saying “ 好了.我知道了,不要再讲了。”
And She has to repeat the whole thing. *ROAR*.
Yup that does IT. Then it started our mini quarrel on how irresponsible my group of friends and I were and that we might 连累到她 once NTU GIP office finds out that a lot of us don’t go for our classes ..
I was quite taken back by myself cuz I have never quarrelled with anyone besides my 2 loving brothers. Sigh. I should learn to hold my temper. I am wasting my energy on someone who doesnt even matter.
Thank God it’s another month before we go on our separate ways.
And yes, I am ashamed by my own outburst.

17 May. A very special day. Cuz 22 years ago, Shirley was born.
Reasons to why she is special:
1. she is a very sweet friend and she goes all out for her friends.
2. she can laugh vvvvvv loudly.. and send my ear ringing for minutes. eh.. yeah that's counted as special cuz nt many can do that.. erm besides.. Lorraine, joycelyn, Joyce, zengzi...
3. and what i like most abt her is.. cuz she speaks her mind. Not many pple can do tt.

the hostels in the school compound were being graded a few weeks backk.. and so the adminstrators in my block decided to turn on the neon lights on the notice boards near the entrance in our hostel to brighten the place in the night... and yup.. i think the entrance to my hostel has turned itself into a geylang lookalike place.. help yourselves to the pics.. Enjoy~

Day 1 in Beijing! Wheeeeee...
My train arrived in Beijing at 840 am.. hahhas. after another 12 hours of train ride from inner mongolia. so excited!! meeting joycelyn after 5 months. really dunnoe wad to expect.
the Beijing train station. Whee!
it's was really people mountain people sea.. was completely lost.. dunnoe why to find ah joy. and the best part was .. we just said to meet at the train station. right... and i realised that the Beijing station was huge.. whr to finddddddd her...
we found each other!!! yayyy!! when i saw her.. i felt back at home =) *grins*
yeps... and we started talking and talkING and TALKING .... lalalala...
the very nice shui jiao store! yummy.. fried egg with fresh prawns. and it's cheapppp...
Us at the Zhong Lou. hahah.. i used my student pass to buy 3 student tickets! haha .. so we paid half price for the tickets... lalalala
more of us again! hahahaha
Moi back in Tiantan after 3 months... back at the same place.. it's pretty as ever.. but it's too crowded
yeah .. directions were written everywhr to bring us to Liqun to eat out Peking duck.. it was an experience.. cuz it's located in the Hutong =)

Sigh.
it's depressing. my roommate has just announced that we have to turn off the refrigerator SOON. that means i wont get to eat my daily cup of yoghurt, apple, sausages.. and chilled orange juice. *BAWLS* i guessed our room has probably topped the electricity bill chart again. personally i didnt think that our bill for this month is vvvv high cuz it's only 55 RMB (translating to only S$11) meaning we have to pay slightly above 25 RMB each.(S$5). In fact, i was quite happy with our electricity bill as it was much lower than the month before. yup, and i was skipping back to my room... feeling so proud of myself.
Grrrr, but she has to drop the news to me... and i wasnt asked for my opinion on this subject. it's just " I think we have to switch off the fridge cuz i dont think it's worth to pay for the electricity". Grrreaaaatttt. *sob sob*
i am not feeling angry. but i just feel like biting someone.... Grrrrr. period.
and i have to add this: Andreaaaaa... you are the best roomieee!! =)

Yayyy!! i have choosen my FYP and i got accepted. Wheee.... =)
i hope that i have made the right choice man.. got rejected by a few profs.. due to the following reasons:
1. i was in inner mongolia when the fyp choices were released. so i cant email any of my profs.
2. this fyp system is more like a first come first serve basis system (aka a screwed fyp system). in short, i was way too late when i applied. all the projects which i was interested in have been taken up.
3. i dun wanna go through the balloting process.. cuz it will be vvvvvv mentally taxing for me.. cuz i will probably end up with a project which i dun LIKE ,dunnoe how to DO or dunnoe how to START.
4. i need to COMMUNICATE with my Prof. Hence i dont wanna to be talking to someone of a different frequency. period.
hahahs.. so i have to make a choice from the following 2 options:

Summary:
Due to environmental and energy supply reliability reasons, it is becoming increasingly important to explore the use of renewable or clean energy for electricity production. Unfortunately many of the renewable sources, such as that from wind or solar, tend to fluctuate and can be highly random. Large-scale direct connection of the renewable source into power systems is unlikely to be acceptable, both from reliability and supply security points of view. A possible solution is to make use of the versatility offers by Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) as the UPFC is able to control simultaneously or selectively voltage magnitudes and phases, which in turns affect power flow patterns in a transmission network. The intent of the present work is to incorporate an energy storage system into the conventional UPFC, so that long-term load-tracking can be realized. In a previous work, a battery energy storage system has been investigated for use with the UPFC. Two methodologies have been proposed to determine the capacity of the battery bank. The methods are based on meteorological data of solar radiation at given location, and the challenge is to minimize the capacity of the battery bank while ensuring that it would be sufficiently sized to cater for the load demand.Other storage mediums exist and it is necessary to explore these possibilities. For example, advanced forms of battery are now available which show improved life-cycle. The charge-discharge characteristics of these newer batteries also show superior performance compared to the conventional lead-acid battery. These issues will be investigated.

Summary:
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are potential building blocks for nanodevices. To measure the electrical properties of a single CNT or build a nanodevice, it is essential to extract a CNT from a CNT array. Methods will be investigated to extract individual carbon nanotubes from a bundle using a nanomanipulator probe housed in a scanning electron microscope. Student should have strong interest in nanotechnology.

As i dont know to extract a CNT from an array of CNT.. plus i dun noe wad on earth is a nanomanipulator probe ( although i know what is a scanning electron microscope, i dont really know how to use it.. hahas)
